Holt Ironfell: “How to Get a House in Shroud of the Avatar for as Low as $1”
Holt Ironfell, you all may recall, is the composer of Forsaken Stones, a remix of David Watson’s Stones (itself the seminal Ultima tune). Well, inspired by the quest recently announced by Lord British, he has assembled this keen retrospective of the Ultima series, and set it to the tune:
But that, as the Cat in the Hat says, is not all. Oh no, that is not all. As Holt explains on the Ultima Dragons Google+ group, he’d very much like it if people purchased his tune (Richard Garriott did!), and has offered the chance at a fine prize to those that do:
Everyone who buys the ‘pay what you want’ song “Forsaken Stones” at http://holt.bandcamp.com will have a chance for me to give them the deed to the House I would otherwise win! That’s a $500 dollar value right now!
But I have to WIN for there to be a House to give away, so make sure to LIKE the video on youtube, as the total Likes determine who becomes a finalist.
All money generated by the end of the SotA Kickstarter will go to pledging for people who cannot afford it (so I will pledge in their stead)! A worthy cause!
So, if you want a chance to score a house in Shroud of the Avatar but can’t afford the $500 pledge level needed to secure one, why not a) grab a copy of Forsaken Stones, b) like his video on YouTube, and c) thereby enter your name in the draw (on the condition, of course, that Holt’s video wins the prize).
